Contemporary music ensemble is no longer being offered by the UOttawa School of Music. Please consider adding your name to support the continuation of this class. Even if the decision made by the school is not negotiable, it is important they understand that their students maintain an interest in the ensembles available (or not) to them.
Contemporary ensemble was one of the most beneficial courses I took, looking back on my Undergrad and Masters degrees at the uOttawa School of Music. As a singer, I was given some of the most unique and diverse opportunities to perform with other instruments/musicians in the university both inside and outside of class. Cancelling this course is a deep mistake.

I care about diversity of ensemble courses offered in our music program. I personally know a number of students who would greatly benefit from this course, and some who even need it to graduate. I do not support unforseen cuts to courses like this for any reason, as it weakens our school community and takes opportunities away from students.

This class is the best course I've ever taken and taught me confidence and practical skills. Sean Rice is an amazing mentor and it is a shame that contemporary ensemble will not be there next year.
