The police union is digging in their heels but our pressure is stalling their efforts to push Chief Burton out. Call the City Manager today to demand he ignore these bad faith complaints. Post the petition link on Facebook and tag your local representatives to keep the heat on.

Columbia is lucky to have him. He is the only one not acting like a politician about these issues.
The union is just mad that someone is actually holding them accountable for once. KEEP BURTON.
we need more honesty in our local gov. keep ken burton.
Finally someone in charge who understands that not every problem needs a swat team. Good job Chief.
Chief Burton is doing the right thing for once. Leave the man alone and let him actually clean up this mess.

Some things must change for improvements to thrive... I can say Captain Ken Burton has shown his personal integrities as an example, protector and servant to our community. I believe changes must happen, however I am behind Captain Ken Burton. I am honored to see an official with as much knowledge and understanding put it all on the line. To stand for a change that is not quite so familiar. I think we can all agree that the police force can focus on becoming a trusted vessel that has the potential to grow and train into a defensive role. I believe our children are what is most precious. Please think along the lines of their thoughts, dreams, feelings and happinesses.
