We, the undersigned, petition the Mayor and City Council Members of Berwyn to retain William Kushner as the Berwyn police chief. In just over three years on the job, Chief Kushner has done much to make Berwyn a safe community. Under the leadership of Chief Kushner, the crime rate has decreased while arrests have increased; graffiti and noise complaints have been addressed in a timely and professional manner, helping to keep more serious crime down; and the Berwyn police department has been recognized for its professionalism by federal agencies. We call on the Mayor and City Council Members to retain and support Chief Kushner in a role that is essential to the well-being and reputation of the city of Berwyn.
