I am honestly a bit overwhelmed by the way the community has rallied behind this idea. This momentum belongs entirely to the people who took the time to show they care about our dogs and our parks. It is proof that we can shape the future of our green spaces when we work together.

We need this so bad. Walking on leash is fine but they really need to burn off that extra energy somewhere safe. thanks for organizing this!
My dog would love a spot to run off leash. Crippen is a great place but we need a safe fenced area.
Count me in. The sheep meadow is perfect for this.
YES PLEASE. way too many people getting upset about dogs on the trails. lets just get this done and make everyone happy.
About time. It is so hard to find anywhere on the island where my dog can actually play without me worrying about him running off near the road.

There is an immense need for off leash areas on Bowen. Apart from giving their dog the freedom to exercise, it also provides dog owners with a safe space in which to train their dogs. The need for safely contained off leash areas should be a number 1 priority. THANK YOU.
