Christian Myers and Benjamin Clapa are seeking amendments to the CC&R’s currently in place on the property located at: 18135 Cottonwood Road, Sunriver Oregon
Section 5.2 of the current CC&R’s is restricted, and only allows the following uses:
- The property may be used only for any of the following: schools, utility substations, utility equipment storage yards and pump stations, dedicated common areas (upon recording of a Sunriver Declaration so designating the Property or any portion thereof), open space, sewage treatment facilities, utility transmission lines, and recreational facilities generally associated with resort developments, including, without limitations, golf courses, tennis courts, swimming pools, parks, playgrounds, nature centers, putting greens, equestrian facilities, boat docks, amphitheaters and observations.
The CC&R’s currently do not allow “ALF” Assisted Living Facilities within the uses permitted on the property.
The proposed CC&R Section 5.2 would be revised as follows:
- The Property may be used only for any of the following: schools, assisted living facility, utility substations, utility equipment storage yards and pump stations, dedicated common areas (upon recording of a Sunriver Declaration so designating the property or any portion thereof), open space, sewage treatment facilities, utility transmission lines, and recreational facilities generally associated with resort developments, including, without limitations, golf courses, tennis courts, swimming pools, parks, playgrounds, nature centers, putting greens, equestrian facilities, boat docks, amphitheaters and observations.
For the proposed change to the CC&R to occur, it requires 75% of all unit owners that were mailed this Petition to agree.

I support this as long as it only applies to the existing structure and not any new structures.
This would be a GREAT addition to our community. People who love and have supported Sunriver for years should not have to move to Bend - or even further away - when they reach the point of needing assistance. And spouses in need of memory care should not have to be separated from family members who wish to remain here.
#2 Redwood supports this proposal. A facility of this kind makes perfect sense for the N. Sunriver community.
I am NOT agreeing to the change in CC&Rs withput further clarification on the changes. What are they? Is this a one time exception? What other effects will a change have? How much of the property will the change effect?
This will allow some of our older friends to remain in Sunriver instead of having to move to Bend.
We are the owners of 13 Filbert Lane.
