There is a developer asking the City of Henderson to issue a Special Use permit to build a 14 bed Alzheimer’s Facility on the NW corner of Patty Ann Woods and College. The Planning commission has already denied the request and the developer has appealed it to the City Council, to be heard on February 4, 2014.

By signing this petition as a resident of the Mission Hills/Paradise Rural Overlay you are stating that you are AGAINST the proposed Alzheimer’s Faculty being built within our neighborhood.

I have been spending so much time looking at the maps and the zoning codes lately because I really think there is something about the traffic overflow that they are completely ignoring. The council members have been pretty quiet so far but I am going to keep calling their offices because the silence is honestly just as frustrating as the actual project proposal itself.

Our BeeHive Home assisted living was approved because it is on the perimeter of the rural preservation and next to an existing property with a use permit for a child care center. While I agree with the philosophy of smaller-community like homes for the elderly, because this use is in the center of the MPRA, I am against it.

As with the other residents, I too agree that this unique area be maintained. Any variance to the zoning will be the beginning of the domino effect. 1st a benign variance, then the 7-11, then the shopping center....

I bought my home in this area, specifically, because it is rural residential. I bought the home because it is far from commercial projects. There is plenty of property available in the Las Vegas valley, that a project like this would not only be accepted, but desired, but the middle of a rural residential neighborhood is not that place.

I would be against this facility. Wouldn't a better location be off Wagonwheel. This is the current location of the Adelson Hospice facility and would seem to be a logical location for the proposed Alzheimer's facility.

We wish to voice my opposition to the proposed Alzheimer's facility near my home. we walk near this area to access the mission hills park. this facility should be located closer to zone medical facilities in Henderson or Las Vegas

This neighborhood is a single family home rural area. No group homes should be allowed. Thank you.
