YES. This is so important. No one has time to go to the ground floor. If we can have trash bins on every floor why not recycling?
My roommates and I, most of the time, try to collect recycling but are sometimes too lazy to take it down to the basement and it winds up in the regular trash can on our floor. We had a recycling bin on our floors in Rich Hall.
Without the convenience of recycling bins on every floor, students will continue to put recyclable materials in the trash bin which will further contribute to the amounting waste being added to landfills.
I am not a resident of stuvi but as a prospective resident, I strongly support this petition.
If rich, sleeper, and claflin hall all have this system designed, stuvi 1 should do and it would incentivize more of us to recycle. Especially given how much recyclable items we have being an apartment styled living residence.

Only having recycling in the basement makes it harder to recycle and stay green. BU needs to make it easier for students to increase sustainability! Especially when there are easily accessible trash rooms on every floor, it just encourages students to throw stuff away instead of recycle.
