there is a law in kansas that is called the romeo and juliet law where if a sixteen year old has sex with someone under the age of sixteen then they can be charged with a sex crime. and with this law the parents of the under sixteen child get todecide if the other child is punished and how severely. i think this lawshould be modified. i am not in favor of underage sex but why should only one child be punished. also i think the age should be changedto eighteen. i am going to tell you why, my nephew who is sixteen by four or five months had sex with a girl who was fifteen. he was a virgin she was not. she performed oral sex on him. when her mother found out she pressed charges because she hates my nephews mother. so now they are charging him with two counts of indecent liberties with a minor and a count of oral sodomy. now can you honestly tell me that is fair. i am writing this and collecting signatures to send to the state of kansas so maybe they will realize the stupidity of it or at least educate their children on it. becausemy nephew is not from there so he was notaware of it . so now he may have to go to jail or register as a sex offender so as much as i am against underage sex i am more against gender discrimination and injustice if you agree please sign my petition to have them change this
