Students and Staff support the Renaming of the Student Center in Dr. Murray's Honor
“On behalf of the undersigned Staff and Students of Marist College and in recognition of nearly four decades of service, we hereby request that the honorable Board of Trustees of Marist College name the Student Center, ‘The Murray Center.’
During his tenure at Marist College, President Dennis J. Murray and Marilyn Murray have devoted themselves to the advancement of Marist College and to generations of Marist students. President Murray’s contributions to the Marist community extend beyond the College’s current students, alumni, and those he has mentored. His gifts of service will influence students for years to come.
Bestowing the name, ‘The Murray Center,’ on the current Student Center befits the outstanding accomplishments of Dr. Dennis J. Murray to Marist College.”

Dr. Murray is an amazing President. In my 32 years with the College I was lucky enough to witness the transformations he accomplished. Hopefully the next President will be as "Community/Family" minded as Dr. Murray has been
President Murray has been an incredible influence during his time at Marist College, and his legacy will live on! Naming the Student Center after him would be such a good way to honor him. Suggestion though, "Murray Student Center" instead of "Murray Center"
President Murray is the man. Never passed a student on campus without asking about their day. He is turly a man for the people.
President Murray and his wife Marilyn Murray honored all the Indian Graduate Students by gracing the Diwali event with their presence. We would love to see him honored in any way possible.
Thank you President Murray for being the first person I met at Marist College when I transferred all the way from Texas. You made me feel welcomed and confirmed that I was right where I was meant to be and for that, I am forever grateful. You deserve this!!!

President Murray has made outstanding contributions to the music program here at Marist, helping it get off the ground from the moment he became president to the creation of the rehearsal halls and practice rooms. There will never be another president like him.
