Everyday dogs are suffering from abuse, neglect and mistreatment from individuals. We need to protect these animals and have these abusers face consequences for their actions. There are many dog abuse cases that could have been prevented if there were more help for these animals. For example, more recently there was a case in the city of San Bernardino, CA where a puppy suffered severe burns and abandonment. This petition demands for stronger laws and punishments to stop these horrible crimes of abusing dogs. This petition would like to propose harsher penalties such as significant fines and imprisonment based on the severity of the offense. As well as spread awareness and educate others on dog abuse and how to be a responsible dog owner. We need to make sure that dog abusers do not get to own a pet ever again.
