Margaret Clitherow is a Catholic martyr and venerated by all Catholics. she is deeply respected by other Christians. Margaret was one of the most important people to live in York and is widely mentioned in most guidebooks. We believe it is a fitting tribute to her to have a street named after her in her native city of York. This petition is arranged by the Knights of St Columba Council 95 (York).
