Seeing this kind of momentum for Whitey is truly overwhelming and something I never could have imagined when we started. This belongs to all of you who share these memories of a man who gave so much to our community.

I am honestly overwhelmed by how many people have come forward to honor Whitey. We are almost at one hundred signatures and I wonder if anyone reading this can tell just one neighbor who might care about his legacy. This momentum belongs entirely to the community that loved him.

long overdue. he was a great man and helped everyone he met in hudson gardens.
Rename the street! Whitey Murphy is a huge part of our history here.
So happy to see this happening. Whitey would be so proud. He really cared about the people in this town.
Whitey did so much for this neighborhood. The man is a legend in Jersey City and deserves this honor.
About time. He gave his life to this community. Make it happen.
