Alberta Residents For Rent Control

Living and working in Alberta is getting more and more expensive. While the government turns a blind eye to affordable housing problems, everyday citizens are not living the "high quality of life" as stated in the Speech From The Throne delivered by our Lieutenant Governor on April 15, 2008. With an announced 8.2 Billion Dollar surplus that politicians are estimating in their first quarter. There are plenty of questions as to why we are paying more to live in a province that is so prosperous. The government would rather see you their citizens out on the street rather than in homes they can afford. Excerpt from The Edmonton Sun - April 18, 2007 "Premier says people evicted can seek government help, discourages interfering in market." Sign this petition and support our efforts to lobby our government for fair housing costs, for all residents.
