We the signees of this on-line petition are concerned local residents who strongly object to the building of flats in Hazelwood Close, Hitchin, SG51PP. North Hertfordshire District Council (NHDC) Case reference number 10/01601/1. We urge NHDC to not grant planning application for this proposed development
In our opinion the proposed build is likely to
a) Increase parking issues on Whinbush Road and Hazlewood Close
b) Increase traffic on surrounding roads
c) Over shadow neighboring properties blocking out sunlight
d) Be overbearing on nearby properties
e) Lead to an increase in noise and light pollution
f) Lead to increased overcrowding in the locality
g) Reduced further the range of local age demographics

Dreadful idea. Who wants a 3 storey block looming over their garden? We moved here for the bungalows and the peace not to be stuck in a building site.

Nine flats is way too much for a quiet close like this. The parking is already a nightmare with people using it to get to the station. This will ruin the street.
Dreadful idea. Who wants a 3 storey block looming over their garden? We moved here for the bungalows and the peace not to be stuck in a building site.
