Say NO to the 160 Blenheim Rd. Housing Development

CLEAN WATER, CLEAN AIR, AND NATURAL OPEN SPACES
are the foundation of our community's health, safety, and well-being. The proposed housing project at 160 Blenheim Rd. threatens to destroy the Devil’s Creek Watershed, wiping out these essential public benefits. Once gone, this vital ecosystem cannot be replaced. We must convince local officials to rezone this land back to Natural Open Space.

✍️ Add Your Voice to Save Our Green Space

By signing below, I urge local authorities to deny development permits and rezone 160 Blenheim Rd. back to Natural Open Space to protect the Devil's Creek Watershed.

This has been a beautiful trailhead I have enjoyed for many years and home to many forms of wildlife. Destroying this area will have a huge impact on the animals, birds , insects and other wildlife that inhabit this space

I have been hiking the Devil’s Creek trail for over 20 years. I don’t know why the small plot of untouched land is needed for more townhouses when there is an entire new subdivision along BLENHEIM Rd.

This isn’t opposition to development—it’s opposition to the wrong development in the wrong location. Too many important environmental, watershed, traffic, and neighbourhood concerns remain unanswered.

Destroying our wetlands doesn't just impact us today, the decisions made now will determine whether future generations in our region have access to clean, safe water. With an already stressed regional water supply, we cannot afford to sacrifice these irreplaceable, non-renewable resources for short-term, short sighted development and economic gain.

The Devil's Creek Tail, Pond, ESA and Watershed recharge wetlands for our Middleton Wellhead and the Grand River. Without this critical buffer we risk contamination of our aquifer, Grand River and general natural recharge filtration system. With the Regional water shortage, we can't risk destroying these valuable non-renewable resource. Take Action Now!

I love using this trail as a biking or walking trail! I use it a ton throughout the spring, summer and fall
