The Cape Wind Project is a $900 million proposed offshore wind farm on Horseshoe Shoal in Nantucket Sound off Cape Cod in the U.S. state of Massachusetts (41°32′31″N 70°19′16″WCoordinates: 41°32′31″N 70°19′16″W) proposed by a private developer, Cape Wind Associates. If the project moves forward on schedule, it will become one of the first offshore wind energy projects in the United States.

I really thought this might just be a small vent session but suddenly my inbox is exploding and it feels like people are finally waking up to the mess this project will make of our horizon. It is honestly wild how fast this is moving now because I was just sitting here staring at the screen wondering if anyone else cared about the sound at all.

My boat wont be able to go anywhere near the shoals. This is going to kill the local charters and hurt everyone who actually lives here year round.
Property values are going to tank if these things get built. Who wants to buy a summer house looking at a giant industrial plant in the ocean.
THIS IS ABSOLUTELY RIDICULOUS. WHY WOULD THEY EVEN CONSIDER PUTTING THESE THINGS OUT THERE. MY FAMILY HAS VACATIONED IN HYANNIS FOR 40 YEARS AND WE LOVE IT JUST THE WAY IT IS.
Keep the skyline clear. We dont need these eyesores ruining the view for everyone. Leave the sound alone.

I have lived on Cape cod my whole life. I don't want to see 100's of wind turbines of the coast and ruin the beauty of Nantucket sound forever. Plus I'm sure there would be some restrictions to get near them. The fisherman have been hurt enough by all the regulations already. So I vote NO!
