its about time this got stopped. the risk to our native population is just too high and we are playing with fire bringing in queens from anywhere and everywhere.
Keep our bees local. We dont need foreign diseases killing off our hives when we have perfectly good queens right here in the UK.

I am against the open importation of queen bees and package bees from overseas (EU, NZ and under the radar imports) because they endanger the genetics of our UK bees, risk the spread of bee diseases that are currently unknown in the UK, and that present a real risk to the health of our bee colonies.
