The feedback coming into my inbox has been overwhelming and it shows how many people share these concerns about our city budget. I honestly just started this because I was worried about the cost but you have all turned this into a real conversation that the city simply cannot ignore.

I am honestly stunned by how quickly this has caught fire across the city. It turns out I am not the only one concerned about where our tax dollars are headed. This momentum belongs entirely to the people who took a moment to look closely at this project.

I honestly never thought this would reach one hundred signatures when I first started it. It is humbling to see so many people feel just as strongly about this as I do.

This will negatively affect many businesses along the route. The taxes property owners and businesses will have to pay the along the route will put an undue burden on these owners and businesses. The city needs to listen to the residents of the city.

We don't have any kind of public transportation in West Omaha or the kind of public transportation that takes people from home to daycare / school / groceries. Those ought to come before yet another form of public transportation in Downtown Omaha

I’m for more comprehensive public transportation and street repair/restructuring. I am against a public transportation device that serviced a small portion of our community that is already readily serviced by existing public transportation.

Everything Phx does OMA thinks they should follow. Phx has 5 million plus people. Omaha collectively w/burbs is 1 mil. I saw the devastation of what occurred w/small businesses on the installation of the street cars when I lived in PHX.

This streetcar will tie up traffic in the downtown area too. Construction will make the commute to downtown chaotic as well as repositioning of traffic before construction and after construction. Are the streets going to be widened downtown along the route?

This street car is a very bad decision for Omaha. I attended a city council meeting about it, and even a couple of the council members stated that it is using the plan from Kansas City streetcars, which has continued to loss money since it's inception.
