Mayor Eric Garcetti's action to halt the Phase 3 Social Equity Cannabis licensing process until a third party audit is completed and by the many findings of failed due process unfairly impacting those truly harmed by the War on Drugs, it is our position that the authority of the City of Los Angeles Department of Cannabis Regulations has been gravely compromised and must be mitigated to ensure full compliance with ordinances.

The most challenging and pressing issue is that the Department’s staff level and non-transparent changes to the regulations violated the intent of the Social Equity licensing ordinances and the findings of the City's Social Equity Report filed as part of their California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) submittal to the State of California.

With your support, we can create change to the Department of Cannabis Regulation by calling for them to make the city's licensing process legal and transparent for those that truly qualify to not only OWN a Cannabis shop, but to be on equal playing field with the rest of the industry.
