I’ve spent countless hours and ten’s of thousands of dollars putting an application and location together. The whole licensing process is backwards and a joke! Seems like Los Angles is squeezing out the little people who spent years in this business, most of witch started to make ends meet and now the roads being paved for big business to roll in and pay their way as usual! Total joke, what do you think people will do when they are forced to go back to the street life to make ends meet again. I’ve been in this business way longer than I should with an abundance of talents and I can’t get a job in the licensed market. Unbelievable

I prepared ahead of time and applied for a license. But because of the delay I gave up my property because I couldn’t afford it.

Mayor Garcetti and Members of the City Council, the continued delays of the Social Equity Cannabis Program is unjust, unfair, and goes against the intent and it's purpose. The city must implement without further delay the licensing process. The qualified Phase 1, 2, &3 applicants should be held "harmless" "No More Delays." The Audit results should hold harmless the "qualified applicants" and hold accountable the wrong doers for violations. The time is now to stop the delays and allow those duly qualified applicants to be licensed with the rest of the industry. As a former legislator, I believe the delays are a disservice to the qualified applicants. I ask Mayor Garcetti and City Council no more delay; its time to honor and make hole the qualified Social Equity Applicants. Sincerely, Senator Richard Polanco (ret.)

The process of the Social Equity Cannabis Licensing process was compromised when the licensing board allowed rich white potential licensees, who had not been treated Socially inequitable, to submit applications via high powered computers while the most effected Black community was on cell phones. The licensing Board did not set up a places where Blacks could have access to the computers that they needed to compete. The entire process was a "snatch and grab," by rich whites. In addition the rich whites were allowed into the application system before the 10AM entry time by Arcela their computer network..Arcela also allowed "computers" to apply by not having a "I am not a Robot" system for the application process. What a sham!

There were several unfair actions in the process that resulted in people being able to infiltrate and cheat the system resulting in a disproportionate number of people who clearly do not meet the criteria to be social Equity Applicants receiving approval. Early registration. using a link to get into the system early, disparity in access to top notch technology and inadequate funding to name a few. We need transparency and parity.

Enough. Everyone is equal. Those that work hard and are mindful will succeed.

Totally unfair to those of us who have worked in this industry and are being shut out by the social equity program.

In regards to the social equity program It would be great business for the city and state to give all applicants who submitted applications on ,that day , September 03, 2019 and met all requirements should be awarded retail licenses. Giving us a chance at being business owners has given us life changing hope. We really need this opportunity. To lift our hopes up and take it away is cruel. A opportunity presented to us, should be given to all who met requirements It is fair and just.

I can't afford the high rent while waiting for approval. I was approved for phase 3 but couldn't find legal investors. Please help
