We the concerned members of GNAT, NAGRAT and CCT wish to petition the Ghana Education Service to STOP the UNLAWFUL DEDUCTION of 10 cedi from our salary, cos this is in sharp contravention of the labour act 2003 SECTION 69 and 70. We therefore entreat the GES and its Surrogates to as a matter of URGENCY halt the deductions and refund the June deductions. All legal avenues will be exploited if this petition fall on deaf ears

Updates

August 14, 2018

The volume of support has secured us a formal meeting with union leadership to address these illegal deductions. We are currently drafting a legal notice to compel the Ghana Education Service to halt the process and initiate refunds.

Insurance should be done by the individuals own will, so the deduction must be stopped.
