This petition was created to put pressure on the shelters that do not allow pit bull adoptions. We need to stop categorizing certain breeds as dangerous and realize that these social prejudices are just used to rationalize fear. We want shelters to allow the adoption of all breeds. We would particularly like to ask the Oakland County, Saginaw, and Genessee shelters to stop this biased behavior.
