On August 29th of the year 1990 the government sent out a message banning all pitbulls. In 2005 Ontario started living by this law. The breed-specific legislation indicated that in Ontario any pitbull born 90 days after the legislation was put forth would need to live strict regulations instructed by the government. Some of the regulations include; needing to wear a muzzle with a leash, needing to be spayed and other strict orders given towards pitbulls. This law also indicates many acts towards individuals wanting or looking at being and owner of a pitbull. On top of that the ruling points out that if a pitbull is purchased after the bill signing the pitbull will be sentenced to death. This petition is put out to fight against the government, to show that pitbulls do not deserve this treatment and have the right to live their life like other dogs. The actions of the dog/dogs are not due to the breed but the actions of the owner towards the animal. Human have the right to live freely, why shouldn't they? Please sign this petition and help save the pitbulls who do not deserve death or brutality.

I honestly never thought we would see this much movement when I first typed this out in a fit of frustration late at night. It blows my mind that so many people feel just as strongly as I do about these dogs and the unfairness of the whole situation. Seeing this grow is really something because it shows that people are finally starting to question these outdated ideas about what makes a dog dangerous.

Wicked cruel law that must end - too many innocent lives at stake and too many family pets murdered each year

Such a law is so sick, by enforcing this, you are teaching the next generation to be judgemental of people just by their looks, and are harming innocent lives.

The dogs personality is all on the owner not the pet. Not once have I met a viscous dog with an amazing owner. All dogs can be viscious and in that case shouldn't all dogs be banned this way? NO? Then don't treat the pitbulls any differently.

Its in no way a problem of dog breed. scientifically rotties have a more powerful biting force than a pitbull. pit bulls were just dogs that a lot of morons owned and the government thought it would be easier to eliminate a dog than it would be to make it so people who train their dogs to fight can't have a dog.

The breed has nothing to do with weather a dog is dangerous or not,

Listen here and listen well, open your mind to the story I am about to tell. As humans we kill and slaughter our own, finding dead children in our own neighbors homes. We kill and we torture cause some think its fun but this is not real life for every human. Most of the time we dont stop to think, maybe its how they were raised or they're parents did drink. But with all of the violence that some of us fall, there is still love and compassion in most of us after all. You see we are no different from this animal you say, we are only a few cromizons away. Before pitbulls it was rottweilers and other dogs to just because of their big heads they tend to scare you? So what they're jaws can lock so can you'rs too. You can not blame a breed its like blaming a race and that of it all is such a disgrace.
