As very concerned voting community residents, we request that Alderman Rod Sawyer address the chaos outside of The 50 Yard Line before it results in yet another Chicago crime scene. The amount of people congregating in that area along East 75th Street on any given Saturday night has become a nuisance and an explosive situation waiting to happen. People are sitting on top of and inside cars consuming alcohol and marijuana, parking in unauthorized lots, and leaving trash. In addition, there are scantily-clad women parading themselves in the middle of the street. All of this disorderly behavior is contributing to slow-moving traffic, an increased amount of noise and trash, and an unbecoming reputation of a place where people can simply hang out. As voting residents, we are not accustomed to this type of rowdiness and the disruption of our community life will not be tolerated. We ask that this situation be dealt with immediately before a violent incident occurs as a result of this unruly behavior. Alderman Sawyer, please do something about this volatile situation now before it's too late!
