Every day, several vehicles careen down this quiet, residential block where there are three schools, a Synagogue, and hundreds of children residents.
We don't want to wait for tragedy to strike. Many of us have been begging the city to re-visit their policies on a left turn arrow at Amsterdam Avenue, which would clearly rectify the situation.
We demand that the Department of Transportation address the situation immediately.

The city council continues to bury their heads in the sand while cars speed through our neighborhood like it is a highway. I am tired of the excuses from the Department of Transportation about traffic studies when children are risking their lives every time they cross the street. We are not stopping until they install the safety measures they have ignored for far too long.

The Department of Transportation can no longer ignore this bloodbath in the making now that we have this level of momentum behind us. We are forcing them to look at this death trap and they will have to account for their pathetic negligence.

my kids take the bus through there and I worry every single day. please listen to us for once
I avoid that street whenever I can. way too dangerous with how much traffic uses it like a highway.
people drive way to fast on 95th. speeding all day long and nobody ever stops them.
FIX IT NOW.
it is a nightmare trying to turn out of my drive way. just put a light up already!!

Almost got hit twice this week alone. Fix this road before someone actually gets killed out there.
