We as a Community and Town do not want Newellton Elementary School to be closed down. Please let your Tensas Parish School Board know how big of an impact this would have on your community and kids.

I have been hearing stories from so many families about how much this school means to our children and their futures. The school board needs to understand that our town is not just a collection of buildings but a place where our kids deserve to grow up together.

Seeing this kind of momentum reminds me why my own children need this school to stay open. The reality of losing our local classrooms is hitting home for so many people right now.

Leave the children in newellton, it's so much confusion in St.Joseph, keep the school open
They would rather close it down, give it to someone else, than do something to build it up. Please do not close our school... Alumini of Newellton High School Class of 2003.
Newellton Elementary has been around for decades. I attended school there also. It is convenient to continue to keep this school open for the children that live in newellton. This school holds special memories for the children now and for the community as a whole. Keep this school open.
Closing Newellton Elementary School is not an option in my opinion this school has been around for years not only will it affect the kids it will affect the community as a whole. This is a school that I attended since kindergarten. This definitely does not need to take place.
I currently have 3 kids enrolled at Newellton Elementary School. This school has been a major impact for me and my kids as well as the community which is why it is so important to keep it open.

First of all the school in Newellton should not be closed down. If anything that school should house all the elementary kids in Tensas Parish. We shouldnt have to give up our school. We gave our high school students then our jr. high kids. Enough is enough!
