We have reached one hundred signatures which provides enough leverage to formally request a meeting with the local planning department. I am drafting the official correspondence to the council members now to ensure our concerns regarding the McLachlan Avenue site are on the record.

The volume of support has now reached a point that forces the local planning department to formally acknowledge our concerns. I have scheduled a meeting with the council representative to present our specific objections regarding the McLachlan Avenue development.

My grandchildren would be living very close and from my experience working in community services, the clientele at these establishments, sadly have many and varied complex issues. To place a boarding home in this area full of children is not an ideal outcome for the community.
Doesn't seem like a sound solution to the housing problem for the potential inhabitants, or the existing residents, especially given recent experiences with similar circumstances. It won't work for either party but might work for the developer.
This development is not suitable for the area. Should be placed closer to support services. Long Jetty has seen an influx of new business, young working families and this will negatively impact these changes.
We all understand these types of housing need to exist , but lets keep them spread out and evenly placed in all suburbs . Long Jetty and surrounds already has its fair share . Where will the parking be for 8 rooms on a just over 400m2 block?
As there are a mix of young families, retirees & businesses in the local area I feel there is nothing positive to be gained by creating a boarding/facility in that location & would only encourage negative Individuals to reside in a location locals have been trying clean up for quite some time.
Not an appropriate location for MANY reasons not the least of which is lack of parking.
It will be the start of turning this area into a ghetto and slum which is not required on the Central Coast. Absolutely not!

I do not support the proposed development for 48 McLachlan Avenue. The development does not meet the states guidelines and the congestion on a corner block by a roundabout is not a suitable location.
