Dear legislator, This petition states that I am a resident and voter in Tennessee who cares about protecting our mountains and ensuring that we leave Tennessee a better place for our children and grandchildren. I urge you to support legislation that will ban the dangerous practice of mountain removal coal mining. Tennessee doesn't need mountain top removal coal mining in order to provide good jobs, economic development, or affordable electricity. Today, I ask you to support the bipartisan Tennessee Scenic Vistas Act which will end mountain top removal mining in Tennessee.
