As a kid they filled the field like snow falling. I have forgotten to look for them. Got my first milkweed seedling.
we need to be alert about biodiversity, and the monarch is to living landscapes as the canary is to the miner
I've seen so many Monarch eggs on milkweed plants being mowed down at the place I work. It's awful. They need a space for milkweeds to save.
Let the milkweed plants thrive and stop Monsanto from killing off the Monarchs and pollinators.
Not just mowing, but spraying of pesticides along road sides to kill unwanted weeds and saplings also kill the milkweed - my neighbor did this along our driveway, I hope he didn't wipe it all out, we shall see. Thanks for the petition!
Monarch depend so much on milkweed.
