Colony Collapse Disorder is an extremely unfortunate issue involving bees. Bees are declining at a frightening rate, and they need our help! Bees get their protein and carbohydrates from floral pollen and floral nectar. With the use of insecticides, particularily neonicotinoids, bees are dying fast. We need more flowers and plants that are insecticide free! Unfortunately, as University of Minnesota students, we can't personally plant flowers on campus. That is why it is important for us to contact the people that can, Landscaping Services. Not only will more flowers help the bees and other pollinators survive, but it will also beautify the place we love. What a beautiful thing! On behalf of myself and the bees, thank you.
