Dear Mayor Tamburo and all Council Members,
We, The People of Monroe, ask that you immediately implement a 5 acre minimum building lot for all new homes to be built in Monroe. Our tax burden has been increasing every year for the last 15 years. We built a new school several years ago that had a significant impact on our taxes. We have now out grown that school and have to build several new schools in the upcoming years. We can not afford the tax increase for the expansion of our school system. Nor can we afford the predicted necessities and resulting taxation such as roads, traffic signals and other Municipal services which would reasonably be expected to increase. You were elected to support, represent and care for the people of Monroe but this is not happening. The people of Monroe urge you to consider our proposal of a 5 acre minimum building lot.

The budget projections keep coming in and confirm our worst fears about new construction. I am prepping our formal case for the next council hearing.

It is time to bring in much needed tax paying industry, such a restaurants, supermarkets etc. The residents, especially the adult communities, should not have to supplement overcrowded schools, due to home building with industry
What happened to the master plan not allowing the building of so many homes that put such a burden on our school enrollment. The 'Taj Mahal' of high schools cannot hold the numbers of children that will need to attend . Total inappropriate of planning.
Monroe is being sooo overpopulated!! And the taxes are going up and up every year making it impossible for a single person and mother like myself to be able to live! I am working two jobs just to pay the increase in my mortgage every year due to taxe increases!
This is the town that I grew up in and I was planning to have my children grow up in . But, if the taxes continue to keep increasing we will be forced to relocate . I love Monroe and it is terrible that I have to make this decision .
I am hearing of multiple families living in new million dollar homes. Is this legal? Does it violate zoning, and health department rules? This should be addressed as it adds to the school population and puts undue stress on the roads, emergency services, etc.
Retired income is limited
Monroe Township needs to slow down our growth and stop building new residence. We need to examine the infrastructure as the quality of our town has suffered greatly.

When we started living in Monroe tour taxes were less than $5,000. How they are over $10,000 and we have NO Children. Stop building or we will be forced to move out of state where the taxes are 1/4 the price of Monroe.
