we actually did it and the bill officially passed to end puppy mills in arkansas. i cant thank you enough for sticking with me while we pushed this through. honestly this is just the start of making sure these standards stay in place.

Representative Jim Sorvillo is the strongest voice in the Arkansas State Capitol working to stop puppy mills and animal abuse. He has sponsored bills, led studies and passed legislation impacting animal welfare.

ive been getting so many emails about the conditions in these facilities and its clear we all want the same thing. im working on drafting the next steps for the capital and having all of you behind this helps a lot when i talk to others there.

I live by a puppy mill,beautiful standard poodles. It's in the middle of a trailer park down the street from from me. The poor dogs are kept in different cages scattered around the park. They look filthy,cold,wet miserable all the time. I really hate that guy!
Puppy mills are a drain on the finances of shelters. We do our very best to help all animals from these situations, but until a spay/neuter law is put into effect here in Arkansas, this will be an ongoing issue. Please, punish these abusers!
Please save the families of Arkansas from ever having their hearts broken by unhealthy puppy mill puppies. And save the breeder female dogs from that terrible life of constant nursing or pregnancy and the puppies from poor health or deformity.
I work rescue in this state. Dogs are not live stock and shouldn't be treated as such. The amount of dogs that are killed in shelters (yes, purebred also) is ridiculous. Using an animal that's unkept and unveiled to make money? That's a special kind of evil.
GOD-willing, very soon the very best and enforceable animal welfare laws and regulations shall become prevalent throughout the world. May GOD-ALMIGHTY save animals from the horrors of human induced abuse, cruelty, torture, and unjustifiable neglect, and habitat destruction.
GOD-willing, very soon puppy mills will very soon be banned throughout the entire world, permanently.

All puppy mills are horrible. Every state needs to abolish them. Arkansas needs to be a leader by doing the right thing. Quit letting the Farm Bureau control what happens in our state in regards to animal welfare. It's just wrong!!!
