It's time to put an end to the use (and abuse) of personal fireworks in Pullman. We have been trying to get the attention of city officials for over 20 years and though restrictions have been put in place over the past few years, there are still too many risks, abuses and traumas that result from the use of personal fireworks. Many other cities have imposed such bans and it's time for us come to our senses. There is no need to subject citizens to this nonsense when the city puts on a wonderful display of its own every year. Please sign and help us get the attention of those in a position to make this change.

My dog, as with a great many other dogs is traumatized by fireworks. I couldn't agree more with this petition. Time to stop -- "bombs bursting in air" and focus world peace! I know this is far fetched in this country, but we might also consider getting rid of GUNS -- they can also be quite disturbingly loud and often lethal.
