I'm tired of seeing the injuries to animals and children, not to mention the fire risk. Clearly the public are unable to restrict their activities to the designated areas, so the only option is to ban them.

There is no need to celebrate this in SA. Every year there are injuries (ONE IS TOO MANY). The stress that it causes on dogs, cats, birds, sea life is totally unacceptable. If you don't want to cancel it then go with the SILENT CRACKERS.

I don't mind when they go to the beach and celebrate guy fawkes there, but every year nobody listens and the poor animals are traumatised. My daughter is in matric and she could not concentrate on her studies. Sorry, but the negatives outweigh the positives. Stop guy fawkes day celebrations.

My dog ripped my gate off its hinges last year guy fawkes who pays for this damage as the government is failing us by not banning fireworks. In the Cape Flats we cannot tell the difference between a gunshot and fireworks

I implore you to ban fireworks. It's a terrible and senseless tradition which terrifies both people and defenseless animals. And in Cape Town where the vegetation is tinder dry, fireworks can easily lead to fires.

Guy Fawkes is an old English tradition. No fireworks were ever used just a bonfire and Guy Fawkes on top. He was a terrorist that tried to blow up the house's of parliament. Why is this custom even in South Africa? Too many irresponsible people with fireworks. Needs to stop.

Really not into it at all!!!! And my fur babies are petrified, needless to say.
