We need this situation to be urgently redressed as follows:
Employ more street cleaners;
Provide sufficient street receptacles and cameras in notoriously littered locations;
Revise fortnightly general rubbish (grey bin) collection;
Allow households of any size to request the larger grey bin;
Reduce charge for bulky/ large item collection;
Implement a zero tolerance policy to prosecute/fine those responsible for fly tipping.

The momentum behind this petition is proving that the Governance and Scrutiny Team can no longer ignore our neighborhoods turning into dumping grounds. Enfield Council thinks they can get away with letting our streets rot while we pay the price but this surge in support proves they are dead wrong.

Fly tipping in places and rubbish everywhere generally! I am tired of walking to school with my daughter and seeing so much rubbish on the road... She often asks me « why do people not care about the environment?” The current situation in our neighbourhoods is an awful example for our children and it has to change!
I have been reporting rubbish dumping to Enfield Council sometimes three times a week over 3 years. They need to address the actual problem, multiple occupant houses landlords should be paying for extra bins. People should be provided larger bins to accommodate their rubbish.
I’m tired of complaining about this issue along the Firs Farm wetland road. There is a primary school in there and rats galore. But nothing seems to be done about it
I feel embarrassed when I have visitors to my home, as soon as you drive into residential areas the whole Edmonton area is disgusting with fly tipping. I feel ripped off with the amount of council tax I pay
This has only happened since the dumps started charging to dispose of large items and others come into our borough from other boroughs to dump their waste illegally. We need cameras to catch these people. Enfield is becoming a rubbish tip now!

Fly tipping along Picketts Lock Lane has been of industrial proportions. Once there was so much it blocked the road. This is the entrance to the Lea Valley Regional Park!
