Dear Green Woods Families,

As you may know, Pennsylvania Governor Wolf announced his budget proposal last month. His proposal includes significant cuts to special education funding for charter school students in Pennsylvania. Charter schools in Pennsylvania could see over $280 million in cuts while Philadelphia charters could see almost $113 million in cuts.

For Green Woods, this would result in almost $900,000 in cuts--- a significant impact to our annual budget. It would devastate our school financially and impair our ability to operate as we currently do.

We need your help! For these budget cuts to happen, they need to be passed by the Pennsylvania legislature. That means our local State Senator, Vincent Hughes, and State Representative, Pam DeLissio, need to hear from you to stop this legislation.
