Lewiston, NY is home to 2 Large Hazardous Waste sites still active! Another is owned and mothballed by the US Government, plus the landfill in Niagara Falls. These waste sites need clay to be capped as each layer is finished. There is Clay Mining happening throughout Lewiston under the disguise of Farm Ponds! Or Recreational Ponds that owners of large properties have no use for after being dug, and by digging for clay it's lucrative! Mawhiney Trucking in Wilson, alias NY Tughill Environmental and Niagara Clay(why the different names?) uses Very Large Dump Trucks that when loaded need a "Tag Axle" to be lowered allowing the truck to haul more weight! These trucks put excessive wear and tear on our roads and bridges, plus they have been documented speeding in excess over the speed limit 20 MPH! So at 45 they do 65-70 MPH! Then there's Moderns Garbage trucks that on way to neighborhoods and returning to dump load and then back, along with Garbage trucks from NT, and Tonawanda all speed with no regard for others (because no police agency Ever stops a Modern vehicle?). Meanwhile Passenger cars and trucks get ticketed constantly but the Lewiston Police won't even Warn these trucks? Please Help and sign, before someone is killed! The Sheriffs or State Troopers don't stop these trucks either!
