Stop Landowners and Developers making money out of Hadleigh, Suffolk
Babergh are asking for land submissions for the next 10 year Local Plan. Landowners and Developers are submitting sites on our open green areas which should be protected. We don't have the infrastructure for all this new housing, including social housing. For example, the roads are not suitable, the schools are full and the roads are already up to capacity.

Agree. No building on the green belt. Without major road development opening up the area surrounding area proposed plans seem unviable. Increased traffic will effect everyone along the road from the A12 so Raydon and Layham beware! The Railway Walk will be amongst housing rather than quick access to the quiet country walk now enjoyed by many. Stop the building, people!
Our schools are full and our doctors are struggling to cope. There is no more space in Hadleigh. Please stop building.
I am really concerned about this planning application and the impact it will have on local residents and the Town of Hadleigh. The proposed access to the site is likely to cause traffic issues and acccidents will occur. The proposed site is small and inadequate for the number of houses planned. The site is simply not suitable and should be left as a small piece of the diminishing green belt. Local infrastructure is at capacity and should not be further stretched.
This proposal is rediculous, over development of the area, appalling access, rubbish application completely out of keeping. Must be refused.
Proposed development out of keeping with the houses in the vicinity, 3 storey houses and Bungalows? Density too high. Access is poor and blocked by insuffient off parking being insisted upon when Canterbury House application approved by Babergh not that long ago. With all the other development going on in Hadleigh schools will not cope, Health Centres over loaded. SCC can't even maintain the roads and footpaths in the vicinity which have been there for years. What confidence have we in them?
Totally agree that Hadleigh cannot support any further building. Roads, Schools, infrastructure already at capacity. Green belt should not be compromised for developers greed.
I feel very strongly that this is not the right move for Barbergh. Our schools are over subscribed, it's difficult to get a doctors appointment and the amount of traffic on the roads is already shocking.

No further building without a clear infrastructure plan that covers, transport, schools and medical care. The developers say they pay an infrastructure fee to BCC. However 1. Do the residents or the town of Hadliegh see the benefits of this money? 2. What is the use of paying BCC when most of the infrastructure problems are controlled by Suffolk. CC? Who repeatedly say they have no money for any major project.
