It has come to everyone's attention that in the prior weeks that a facebook user has published concrete evidence of several videos showing the mistreatment of the children attending the facility, Kiddie Land in Meridianville, Al by its employees. Since the release of the videos and an investigation by The Dept of Human Resources, the owners of Kiddie Land have shut their doors and surrendered their license to the state of Alabama. The Sheriff's Dept has started their own investigation on the allegations and you may learn more about this from al.com and other news stations around the valley as they update everyone on this situation. It has also been rumored that someone else is trying to reopen the daycare business at this location. As a concerned citizen and parent, I ask that anyone who is against reopening this building as a daycare facility to please sign this petition so therefore these children are no longer abused, physically and/or emotionally. Please help us protect these children and be their VOICE! We should protect every single child, regardless if they are our own child or someone else's child. Thank you for your time and please help us to get this building permanently blocked from having a daycare facility by any and all persons, now and in the future for 100 years to the date of today 6-24-2016.

Seeing the reports of new interest in this property makes me sick to my stomach after what those children endured. We are keeping a very close watch on the site to ensure no one tries to slip a business permit through while we are distracted. The safety of these kids is the only thing that matters.

Seeing this kind of momentum confirms that our community will not tolerate the possibility of another daycare operating at this location. It brings me some peace to know that so many people are looking out for the safety of these children.

I think that any employee that was employed at the time this was going on should be held accountable
Will they ever release the names of the abusers? Parents should be reassured by DHR these people will never work in another child care facility.
This place should be closed & the woman I saw in the video arrested for child abuse!

Anytime there is abuse or violence in a building it can have evil influences on the occupants in the future.Thats not a good environment for children.Tear the bld.down the only sure way to prevent other kids from suffering.
They need to close, or fire everyone. Hire new people, put cameras every room. The owner needs to do their job. Or just close.

Please keep this place closed. Do it for the Children who have already endured enough. Never should they ride by, and see this place opened as a daycare to remind them of the horrors that went on behind close doors.
