A food bank is a place where stocks of food, typically basic provisions and non-perishable items, are supplied free of charge to people in need. We are working alongside The Trussel Trust which partners with local communities to help stop UK hunger.
Thirteen million people live below the poverty line in the UK, with individuals going hungry every day for a range of reasons, from benefit delays to receiving an unexpected bill on a low income.
The Trussell Trust’s 400-strong network of food banks provides a minimum of three days’ emergency food and support to people experiencing crisis in the UK.
Help us raise awareness for less fortunate individuals, statistically mainly children, in need of a basic necessity of life: food.

I have been spending my evenings talking to volunteers at the local food bank to better understand the faces behind these numbers. It is heartbreaking to hear how many families are relying on these supplies just to get through the weekend. We are preparing to deliver a formal request to our local council to address these systemic gaps.

Seeing this kind of momentum reminds me of the families I meet at the food bank who worry about their next meal. It feels incredible to know so many of you share this urgency to help those in our own neighborhoods.

Wow shocking statistics! There should be way more awareness brought about about this global concern :(
its honestly heartbreaking that people in this country are stuck choosing between eating or paying bills. keep up the good work.

I do believe hunger is a serious issue, therefore I humbly sign this petition to support those who don't have the resources needed.
