Started by Laurel Park Neighborhood Association 4 years, 10 months ago

The Laurel Park Neighborhood Association has been advised that the property at 1910 Morrill (El Tropicale) is being operated as a hotel, with daily rentals, violating the City’s code requiring a minimum of 7-day occupancies in our neighborhood. This practice has a detrimental effect on the adjacent properties as well as the neighborhood as a whole.

The City has issued numerous requests/citations and on Thursday November 4th, will be seeking enforcement of a cease-and-desist order. The LPNA has submitted a letter of support for the City’s efforts and will be attending the hearing.

We the neighbors of Laurel Park support the efforts of the City and the LPNA, to preserve the unique and historic nature of our neighborhood, and to safeguard it.

Note: We are NOT asking for any donations at this time so please IGNORE any contribution requests by the petition website.

This place has been a nightmare for us neighbors for years. Finally time to enforce the rules.

Enough is enough. It is a residential street and not a hotel zone. Tired of the constant turnover and noise waking up my kids.

Why do they think they are above the law? Keep Laurel Park for the residents.
