Stop Durham District School Board from banning WOW butter and other soy based products!!

We are parents of a child with a Peanut Allergy and we have been sending our children to school with lunches with "WOW" butter and Soy based products for over 7 years. Now they are banning our children from having these in their lunch or they will segregate or not let them eat their lunches at all! These are Peanut free and nut free products and do not pose a risk to anyones health!
Please help us stop this discrimination!!

I am honestly overwhelmed by how many people have joined this cause. It is clear that this is a concern for so many families and seeing that momentum grow is entirely down to your willingness to speak up. I truly never imagined this would reach so many people.

I have a picky eater and she enjoys wow butter. I even label her lunch with the wow butter deal which makes it very clear that it is but free. I do not understand what the big issue is
We find this ban absolutely ridiculous! The confusion is on the part of teachers/lunch supervisor's, not on the parents. They need to educate themselves on the differences. We are sending "safe" lunches to school. My son was "screamed" at by his teacher today for taking a safe lunch to school. This is frustrating and ridiculous. How much are we expected to accommodate other childrens' allergies?
Ridiculous. Seems like they just want to control what we pack. My daughter loves her sandwiches and she should be allowed to eat them.
My kid barely eats anything else. This is so frustrating. It is literally just soy, not nuts! Why do we have to make lunch time so difficult for everyone?
TOTAL OVERREACTION. The school board needs to get a grip and stop penalizing my son for eating a nut free product. Its not peanut butter, people!

The ban is unnecessary. Just another demonstration of the lack of care within the school system.
