We the parents of children at Windfield, demand the immediate closure of the Junk Food shop that has been opened with out parents consent. Our issue with the Junk food shop is two fold:
Windfield has made the decision to profit from selling our children sugar and processed foods for the schools financial gain. The Junk Food shop puts our children's health at risk as it exposes children to dangerous and toxic foods for consumption on school campus. For decades these types of foods have been removed from the school environment as it is widely acknowledged how harmful and disruptive they are to the child's body and mind.
The second problem that arises from the Junk food shop on campus is the problems that occur when children are carrying cash to school. It is creating arguments in the home before school, conflict between friends, manipulation between friends and potentially a bullying tool.
We the parents, are perplexed at the schools decision to choose financial gain over the childrens health, wellbeing and ability to learn.
We sign this petition in protest to the endangerment of our children by the school and demand the Junk food shop is closed immediately.

Note - I would support a healthy food shop, one that promotes all things healthy, and one that can teach commerce to children as well. This could be run as a tuck shop style of retail, where parents can provide a monthly stipend for their children to use.
Against the school shop selling unhealthy food and drinks.
I totally agree to close the snack shop.

My son came home asking for money for sweets every single day this week. Its ridiculous that the school is encouraging this when they should be focused on healthy habits.
