Dominion Power Line Coming to Piedmont?
Please sign this petition in support of fighting Dominion Power potentially building a power line in our backyards.
Piedmont Residents,
Did you know that Dominion Power is proposing options to bring the 230kv power lines and towers into your backyard? There is much media coverage on proposed Dominion Power lines affecting Haymarket along Rt 15 or along the railroad tracks behind Haymarket, but their has been very little coverage on the proposed “Northern Alternative” that would pass alongside Piedmont, Piedmont Golf Club, and Little Bull Run. This“Northern Alternative” is Dominion Power’s 2nd or 3rd option for the new proposed Haymarket Power Lines.
This proposed power line route will affect Piedmont residents along Piedmont Vista Drive, Snikersville Drive, Michener Drive, Fells Bridge Place, Cullen Place, Pennshire Drive, and Ashby Grove Loop.

I was sold my house under the impression that this area between Old Carolina Estates and the gated Piedmont community was a protected tree reserve. I am appalled that this is even a potential alternative route.
No to the "Northern Alternative". I suggest using the route along the railroad.

We moved here 14 years ago to enjoy a beautiful community near a quaint town. Do NOT BUILD power lines in our BACKYARD!
Please do not put this in my back yard!
Not what I would have wanted before I bought my house; not what I want now!
