Dear Mayor & Borough Council: We the residents of Oceanport hereby demand that you obtain an immediate order to cease and desist and halt the DOD training exercises in the middle of residential areas. Nerve jarring sound of explosions along with helicopters flying at tree top level in the middle of the night and well into early hours of the morning kept us up all night. Needless to say, it was pretty stressful for all of us and especially for little children and pets. Middle of suburbia is no place for such training exercise because accidents do happen. If one of those helicopters had malfunctioned we could have had a tragic catastrophe in our town.
