CN plans to build between Britannia and Lower Base Line, east of Tremaine road. These are designed to transfer cargo containers between rail cars and trucks.
This 24/7 operation will see approximately atruckevery minute,24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
It will be approximately3 km in lengthbut will employ only a handful of people.It will consume 400 acres of prime real-estate that otherwise would’ve generated millions in taxes that rest of us will now have to cover.The facility will move hundreds of truck-loads of material (including industrial and hazardous material) 24 hours a day, surrounded by residential area.
