**A RELIABLE SOURCE HAS CONFIRMED THAT THIS WILL NOW NOT BE PASSED THROUGH AT THE NEXT COMMITTEE MEETING SO ALL MEMBERS WHO WERE AGAINST THIS IDEA CAN BREATHE A SIGH OF RELIEF!**

The committee of BSLTC are considering on the 5th December 2013 at their next committee meeting, WITHOUT discussing it with us, the members, whether to let the parents of the children that attend Northgate Primary School, have FREE ACCESS to our parking at the main entrance, and up at our clay courts.

This is supposedly only to be used during restricted hours (school drop off and collection times), and is supposedly going to be policed by the school.

In reality there is no way the school can police this, unless they are planning to have a full time security guard on both of our gates and issue the parents with some sort of access I.D., which obviously is never going to happen.

Therefore if this access is granted to these parents, and the codes for our padlocks to the gates have been relinquished to them, they, (and their friends probably), will have access to park at our club FREE OF CHARGE whenever they feel like it.

If you feel that this proposition is unacceptable then PLEASE sign this petition before 5th December 2013 so that we, the members, can try to stop this absurdity from happening!

Updates

November 27, 2013

The committee has formally acknowledged the volume of signatures submitted. We are currently drafting a request for a face to face meeting to ensure our concerns regarding site security and parking access remain on the official agenda.

November 27, 2013

The committee has acknowledged the volume of opposition reflected in this petition and canceled the vote. We are now preparing a formal request for a meeting with their board to ensure this proposal is permanently removed from the agenda.

If they want to park on the tennis club grounds, then they need to join the tennis club. Can I park in the Working Men's club car park near the town. um no. That' because I don't belong to the Working Men's club. Quite simple really.

If you give permission for parking to parents of Northgate School and an accident occurs in the BSLTC tennis car park we will be responsible and I do not think this is acceptable. I am therefore in favour of keeping the car park for use by the tennis club only and we will know where we are with public liabilities. This free access is an insult to our respected coach who was threatened and assaulted!!

Even if this were policed by the PTA, as proposed, that wouldn't last long and you would soon come up against a wide range of excuses about why someone couldn't be found to cover the gate that day. I also think it sends out completely the wrong message in response to the attack on Matt and Mark. Beat up our head coach and your reward will be free parking……...No!

As I understand it this is not a decision the tennis club can make, it would be a Trust issue. It is our car park for our use and will be full of school traffic a fair percentage of the day when members want to use it so not a good idea in my view, especially after the agression of those parents recently.

The CEP car park is for all clubs, Tennis have no right to decide who uses it

This is a very bad idea and one that will lead to future problems

I am appalled at how the committee think they have any right to give our car parks away I expect them to apologise unreservedly and the say to Northgate School immediately that they have no power to give away our car parks and withdraw the offer immediately

I can see no reason for this offer. What will the tennis club gain from it.When the parking was last available to them they parked all over the grass verges and Andy was extremely annoyed at the mess they made Parking around the school is also at between 12 and 1pm for nursery. ..In view of .what happened to Matt and Mark I do not think we should let these people in and create more worry for Matt. Wouldn't insurance also be a problem.?
