Mrs Tothill seems unaware that many parents are unhappy with the closure of the school gates and she believes that most support her decision. We have not found this has been the case. We feel that the closure to the gates without consultation with parents is dangerous for the children having to cross a busy main road without a school crossing and that Mrs Tothill could have looked at other options first. We ask if you are unhappy with her decision that you sign this petition which we are giving to the Governors in time for their meeting with her on Tuesday 9th December. Thank you.

I am truly overwhelmed by how many of you have come forward to share your worries about the children crossing that road. Your stories are the reason the Governors will have to listen when we present this to them.

I am honestly overwhelmed by how many of you have stepped up to show that this matters. This response belongs entirely to you and your commitment to our children. I never imagined we would have this much momentum behind us.

absolutley ridiculous! if Mr Nance has tge time yo open and close the gate all morning then surely he could control the traffic in the car park instead! with respect the majority of parents using the carpark use it carefully and are very aware of the children in it! it is havoc on the main road even more so than ever before and a child will be seriously hurt soon. the impression you get is that if its outside the gates then its not the schools problem!!!
I feel it has made a bad situation a lot worse, I don't feel that all options were looked at so they just put the problem into someone else's hand. The fact that there was no warning to parents has left people feeling more angry about it, why not hand out a newsletter asking parents to try and think of other ways to decrease the problems in the car park.
The closure has made the road situation even more dangerous now . Cars parked both sides in bus stop and opposite on zig zags and still not crossing patrol. The car park could be supervised with someone from school alternating this duty to move cars on and allow quick dropping off in ams say for kids over year 3 .... Just an idea. How does Trenode school manage ?! It's ridiculous to have to get up to school at 2.20/30 just to be able to park .
The carpark should be supervised as it is now that nobody is allowed to park in it then the few individuals that park where there not suppose to can be asked to move!!! The closing of the carpark has left the road in total chaos and a danger to the children..
This carpark is causing caos with cars parked both sides of road and people getting blocked if it's raining kids are getting soaked before getting I I school
no point closing it love going there every tear to hold events
