The council blinked and decided to pause the project. We forced them to listen to our neighborhoods. Stay vigilant.

We, the residents of Beacon Hill, Twin Creeks, Watters Crossing, and other neighborhoods of Allen, Texas, do formally request that the Allen City Council (Allen, Texas) reopen discussions with citizens who will be affected by the "Interlocal Agreement between Collin County and the City of Allen concerning the engineering and construction of ALMA DRIVE WIDENING from Hedgcoxe Road to Sam Rayburn Tollway Collin County 2007 Discretionary Bond Project # 97-00-35.”

By signing this petition, we believe that any attempts to inform or make aware the residents of neighborhoods directly affected by this project that the Allen City Council was reviewing this agenda, or voting on it, were grossly inadequate. Therefore, we:

1.) Respectfully assert the right for our concerns to be appropriately heard during an upcoming Allen City Council meeting; and

2.) Request that the Allen City Council move to reconsider its decision.

*****Petition signers must be 18 years or older and live in Allen, Texas*****

This is going to ruin our property values. Not to mention the noise and traffic right outside our front doors. Nobody asked us!

Stop the construction. We moved here for the neighborhood feel not to be an extension of the tollway.

They want to turn our quiet neighborhood street into a highway. Totally ridiculous. Listen to the people who live here!!

Living right off Alma and this sounds like a nightmare. My kids play near there and the speed is already scary.

I never got a notice about this. Very sneaky of the council to push this through without talking to the actual neighbors first.
