Due to a public outcry from local parents and students, the Stidham School District is proposing approval for accreditation from the State Department of Education for the creation of Stidham High School 2013. Stidham Public School recognizes the value of and has become known for providing a small school alternative which promotes conservative morals and values while fostering a nurturing, safe, individualized learning environment. Over the last 45 years, our students in grades PK-8 have been a part of this rich tradition and it is now our desire to include and extend these attributes to students in grades 9-12. Countless times in the last couple of years, I have heard 8th grade graduates lament about "having to leave Stidham," to attend high school in neighboring towns. With your support, our goal is to offer the same environment that has proven successful with our younger students, to high school aged students. We respectfully ask for your signature to support our campaign for the creation of a 21st Century Stidham High School; a CHOICE for our students and their parents. On behalf of myself, Bart Banfield, Superintendent of Stidham School, the Stidham School Board, and the SHS Development Committee, we thank you for your time and interest in our vision.

The administrative team is currently preparing the formal accreditation documents for the upcoming state review. We have received numerous heartfelt testimonials from parents who describe the specific impact this expansion would have on their children. These personal accounts provide essential context as we move forward with our proposal.

The level of public interest in expanding our academic offerings has been truly significant. This momentum indicates that our community strongly values the prospect of keeping our students within the local district throughout their secondary education.

My oldest child had to go to the city for high school and it was such a struggle. We really need this at home in Stidham.

Stidham has always been the best place for our kids. Why stop at 8th grade? Let them finish their education here!

It is about time we had a real choice for our high schoolers. So tired of seeing school buses head out of town everyday.

Big schools are just factories. Stidham actually cares about the kids and knows them by name. Keep it local!
